Hey!
I'm Meg Messmer.
I’m a badass working mama, actor, producer and creator. I grew up in a small town in Michigan and without knowing anyone in the “business,” I clawed my way through the noise with sheer grit and determination, earning six figures with either a baby in my belly or on my hip.

For as long as I can remember, I've had one dream:
to act in movies

But as I navigated this jungle of the film business, I realized that my talent was only going to take me so far and everything I had studied in school had only honed my acting talents.
So out of desperation, and at the command of my mother to “get on stage,” I produced my first project that I starred in. My dream expanded further to include producing projects that I could also act in. And after almost 20 years in the business, working with trusted mentors, friends and advisors, I have expanded that dream even further to include creating those projects that I can produce and act in.
It's been a wild ride . . .
But if you know me, you know I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Today you might find me drinking English Breakfast tea on set of one of my independent films, acting across an A-lister on your favorite show, or cozying up for storytime with my kiddos.
I am so delighted, thrilled, grateful, honored and proud to be where I am today.

And Guess what?
One of my favorite things to do is to help others realize their OWN dreams. If you’re stuck or feel like you’re heading down a path with no direction or resources, I LOVE clarifying, goal setting and keeping my friends accountable. I’d love to work with you too!
random facts I might pull out at a dinner party:
I’m #3 of 4 kids in my family. My siblings are all doctors. One orthopedic surgeon, one a sports med doctor and the other one has a PhD in Communications. I’m “the artist” in the family.
After I said “I do,” I stripped off my wedding dress and jumped off a cliff with my husband. (I was wearing a bathing suit guys…gross!)
I used to teach Acting & Writing to female inmates at Riker’s Island Prison in New York City.
I produced my first full length feature when I was 9 1/2 months pregnant, working 14+ hours a day and 14 hours away from my birthing center. (No, I did not give birth on set.)
I was President of my senior class in high school and Valedictorian of my college which means I got to give two inspiring commencement speeches.
I was on the Price is Right and won! Then a few months later I got a job working for the company that produces the show. (No, those are not related at all.)

I started a blog to share my candid experiences of a female, working mama in the entertainment industry. It gets juicy. You ready?
